Mrs. Faye Harden Hatcher, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A funeral service will held 11:00 am Friday, June 5, 2026 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Chris Herbert officiating. An interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 pm EST until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hatcher was born July 9, 1941, in Lee County, AL daughter of the late Austin Harden and Ruby McWaters Harden. She worked in the banking industry for many years but finished her career working with Calloway Chemical. She was a devoted woman of faith whose life reflected kindness and unwavering love for her family. She cherished her relationship with God and faithfully served her church, Summerville Baptist, for many years. One of her greatest joys was singing in the choir at Summerville and with the Amen Choir at Lakewood Baptist Church, She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with high school friends, referred to as the Girls of 59. Above all, she loved her family deeply. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who always welcomed others with warmth, wisdom, and compassion. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and faith, and her presence brought comfort to so many. Though her family grieves her loss, they rejoice in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Hatcher; a son, Flint Sharpe; and a sister, Sharon Harden Naylor.
Mrs. Hatcher is survived by a daughter, Keeli S. Floyd and husband Chuck; a son, Kevin Sharpe and wife Cathy; a sister, Doris Turner; a brother, Shelton Harden and wife Victoria; a daughter-in-law, Lee Sharpe; grandchildren, Brandon Caulder, Chandler Sharpe (Jenny), Brock Garner, Cassidy Sharpe Harris (Will), Chaz Floyd (Charley), Karsyn Floyd (Caleb), Brody Sharpe and Brady Caulder; great-grandchildren, Riley, Ridge, Reid and Hudson; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
