“THE ENEMY DOESN’T ALWAYS NEED TO STOP YOU—SOMETIMES HE JUST NEEDS TO DISTRACT YOU”

A distraction doesn’t have to be bad. Sometimes it’s simply receiving attention that belongs somewhere else.

In Luke 10, Martha was busy serving Jesus but became distracted from being with Him. Even good responsibilities can pull us away from time with God.

This October, ask yourself: “What has my attention?”

Pay attention to your prayer life, your family, and what keeps draining you or pulling you away from God. Notice the doors He’s opening and the ones He keeps closing.

Slow down. Look closely. Listen carefully. God may be doing something right in front of you.

This October, let’s slow down enough to pay attention. 💜

What needs more prayer? What’s draining your peace? Who needs your presence? What keeps pulling your focus away from God?

Ask God for wisdom to recognize the doors He’s opening and trust Him with the ones He’s closing. Stay prayerful, present, and willing to respond. 🙏🏽

Sometimes we keep asking God for another sign because what He’s already showing us isn’t the answer we wanted.

This October, PAY ATTENTION TO PATTERNS.

Notice what keeps draining your peace, the cycles you keep repeating, and the correction you keep receiving. Discernment also means examining your own behavior.

But don’t only remember patterns of pain. Remember the pattern of God’s faithfulness.

He has provided, protected, corrected, and carried you through. And He never stopped being God. 🙏🏽

Instead of only asking, “God, what are You saying?” ask, “God, what have You already been showing me?”
