Corpus Christi Feast Day

Today is the traditional date of Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. However, most U.S. dioceses and Catholics in many other countries will celebrate this feast on June 7, many with festive processions carrying the Blessed Sacrament. Corpus Christi echoes the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, when Jesus declared his True Presence in the Eucharist and instructed his apostles to offer his body and blood “in remembrance of me.”

Finding Peace at Our Lady’s National Shrine

Visitors often share gratitude for their experience with us here in Perryville, Missouri. A member wrote, “We recently visited the Shrine and were touched by the beauty and holiness. We had a guided tour (the guide was excellent), attended Mass, and walked the grounds. We left refreshed and full of peace. Thank you for making this blessed experience possible.

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

As Americans prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence, the U.S. Catholic bishops (USCCB) have chosen to entrust the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The June 11 act of consecration aims to renew people's faith, call them to conversion, and highlight Christ’s mercy as a source of true peace, healing, and unity. Parishes nationwide are encouraged to participate in the novena starting June 3, 2026, leading up to the feast day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 12, 2026, followed by the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Members’ Novena Begins Tomorrow

June’s novena will be dedicated to the needs of all AMM members. Join us in spirit during the next nine days of Masses and prayers at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You may share your intentions for remembrance and/or request a Votive Light to burn at the link below. They will be placed near Mary’s Altar. “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!”

Saint Justin Martyr

The saint remembered today was born in modern-day Palestine in the early second century. He converted to Christianity and died for the faith around the year 165. He is believed to be the first Christian author to relate Eve with Mary, writing that both women were ‘virgins and undefiled.’ While Eve brought forth disobedience and death, Mary ‘conceived faith and joy’ and brought forth the Holy One, the Son of God.

Memorare Monday!

We invite you to pray the Memorare prayer as you start your Monday morning:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen.
