Before we repost clips or sharpen arguments, let’s remember:
• Our faith is formed by Scripture, not headlines
• Our neighbors matter more than being right
• Our families are worth protecting

You don’t have to solve the nation’s problems at the dinner table.
You do get to love the people sitting there.

“Be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.” (James 1:19)

The world is loud.
Christ is steady.
Let’s stay at the table together.

Gloria Dei Family -

Some of you may have seen reports of a worship service elsewhere being disrupted this weekend. We want you to know that at Gloria Dei, worship is a place of peace, prayer, and the hearing of God’s Word.

Our leaders have reviewed what happened and have a clear, developing plan in place to protect worship and care for people should a disruption ever occur here. We gather in confidence, not fear—trusting Christ and continuing the work He has given us.

We pray for our communities, for those who are hurting or angry, and for wisdom for all.

Lynn Fairbanks and her son Justin were injured in a car accident Monday morning. Many of you know them well at Gloria Dei. Lynn is a longtime staff member who helps keep our church running, and Justin’s joy and presence in worship are a gift to all of us.
We’re thankful it wasn’t worse, and we’re already working on ways to support them as they recover.

Here’s how you can help right now:
1) Pray for healing, comfort, and strength for Lynn and Justin — and that God would show us how to care for them well.
2) Be in church this Sunday to hear how we can come alongside this family in practical ways.

Who We Are

We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Gloria Dei Lutheran Church was founded by the merging of Grace Lutheran Church and Christ Lutheran Church in 1960. Gloria Dei Lutheran Church accepts the Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and subscribes unconditionally to all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God. We accept the Lutheran Confessions as articulated in the Book of Concord of 1580 because they are drawn from the Word of God,and on that account we regard their doctrinal content as a true and binding exposition of Holy Scripture. We are hear to serve the people of Pequot Lakes and the surrounding area with the love of Christ through the means of grace in His Word, and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.
