Saturday is just a few days away -- we hope you've made your plans to join us at Bluegrass & BBQ! 🐷🪕
Each year includes a fundraising auction for leftover camp pantry items and various donations received from supporters. This year, we are trying something new so more camp supporters can participate in the auction by giving folks the opportunity to bid on select items even if you cannot attend! If you win an item, you can then arrange to pick it up at your convenience.
Here's how it works:
1. Look through the items posted here on our page. Each numbered item will have a listing including a description of the item.
2. If you wish to bid, call or text one of the bid-takers (listed at the end of this post) and give them your maximum bid. They will reply to let you know they received your bid.
**Bid-takers will keep your bid confidential and will not reveal it to anyone!**
3. On the day of the auction, they will bid for you. The bid-takers commit to not exceed your maximum bid -- but depending on how the bidding goes, you could win at a much lower cost. (For example, if your maximum bid is $500, and the next highest bid is $400, you will win the item at $410.)
4. If you are the winning bidder, we will notify you within 48 hours and discuss arrangements for you to pick up.
5. Unlike online auctions, we will NOT be posting bids prior to the auction -- just submit your maximum bid to one of the bid-takers. It will be confidential and they will ensure it is part of the auction.
