My husband, Dick Seago, and I had the privilege of flagging veterans’ graves at Beechwood Cemetery in Alma, WV again this year. Between May 20–22, 2026, we placed medallions where needed and proudly placed 177 flags on the graves of our veterans. It is always such a great honor. 🇺🇸
If you have the opportunity to visit Beechwood and notice any veterans’ graves not flagged, please call it to our attention.

Removing the flags from the medallions definitely does not take as long as putting them up! Hubby and I worked 2 hours to day, but I admit it was terribly hot and I believe this was the first time I’ve been to “The Flat” and the wind wasn’t stirring!!
I had to chuckle when I spied this bird nest pretty well hidden in the flower arrangement on top of a monument.

2 days, 6.4 hours, 156 Veteran’s graves flagged; what an honor for Hubby and me! I tried to take photos from many locations/directions because I realize there will be those who will be unable to make the trip to pay their respects to family and friend this Memorial Day.

Thank you,

Today Roger & Cathy Post and I walked Beechwood Cemetery and placed 112 medallions on Vets graves. The medallions will be such an aid in flagging next year!
