Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
1st Peter:8-18 Suffering For Righteousness Sake
Finally, all of you live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble, have a tender heart. Do not repay evil with evil, or insult for insult, on the contrary, repay with a blessing, because to this you were called that you may inherit a blessing. Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for righteousness sake or what is right, you will be blessed. Do not fear what they fear, do not be troubled or frightened. In your hearts always honor Christ the Lord as holy. Always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, but do so with gentleness and respect. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered for our sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit. L🚂

Through the pain and suffering of his Son, Jesus Christ, God showed how much he loves us. In return let all of us show our love for God. Amen! Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
Psalm 57:1-5,7-11 Glory Over All The Earth
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge. In the shadow of your wings I will take refuge until the storms of destruction pass by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. He sends from heaven and saves me while putting to shame he who tramples on me. God sends his love and his faithfulness. My soul is in the midst of lions, I lie down among ravenous beasts. Men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! My heart is steadfast, O God,my heart is steadfast. I will sing and make music. Awake my soul! Awake harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn. Among the people I will give thanks to you, O Lord, I will sing praises to you among the nations. For great is your love reaching to the heavens, your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God above the heavens, let your glory be all over the earth. L🚂

Let God's purpose for you fill your heart with compassion for others, and his magnificent glory fulfill your needs. Great is your faithfulness. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
Numbers 6:24-26 Aaron's Blessing
May the Lord bless and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you through his grace. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Philippians 4:4-9 Encouragement and Prayer
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand. Do Not Be Anxious About Anything, but in everything by prayer and humbleness with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. Finally, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Jesus said, "Whatever you have heard and seen in me - practice these things and the God of peace will be with you."
Proverbs 21:31
The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord. L🚂

Talk with God, he is listening, he will answer. The Lord is at hand, let his peace fill your heart. God is worthy of praise. Be ready for the victory of the Lord. Be thankful. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today’s thought:
Matthew 5:1-12 The Sermon on the Mount (Beatitudes)
Seeing the crowds, Jesus went up on the mountain and when he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
1st Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually L🚂

Be merciful and pure in heart. Hunger for righteousness. Be a peacemaker. Seek the Lord and his strength with all your conviction. Never let evil win! Let the Lord build your house. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacons’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought: Let Us Love One Another
1st Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1st John 4:7-8,19
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. We love because he first loved us.
Matthew 22:37-38
And he said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. This is the great and first commandment."
John 15:12
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Ephesians 4:2
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
1st Corinthians 16:14
Let all that you do be done in love. L🚂

Without the love of God, we cannot exist. Thank God for his love every day. Let his commands be known to those you love. Never allow greed or evil overcome the power of love. Love through sacrifice as our Father did for us. Love is powerful! Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today’s thought:
Psalm 145:3,5-9,14,17-21 Great is the Lord!
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the splendor of your majesty, and on your wonderous works, they shall meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds and declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord gives wisdom, from him comes knowledge and understanding. L🚂

Give praise to God each and every day. Praise his love and his marvelous works. Thank him for his grace and his mercy. Live in the greatness of God. Let his mercy cover you as a shield. Gather his wisdom and his knowledge, live in his word. Love one another as God loves you. Have a safe and blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
1st Peter 4:1-11 Living for God
Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. And, as a result does not live the rest of his earthly life for human passions or evil desires, but for the will of God. For you may have spent time in the past doing what pagans choose to do--living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, carousing and detestable idolatry. They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of debauchery and they malign you. But they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. This is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does. The end of all things is at hand. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled for the sake of your prayers. Above all, love one another deeply, as love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without reservation. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do so as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
John 16:33
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." L🚂

Use your God given talent to share the word of God through his grace and his glory. Acknowledge the love of Jesus and the sacrifice made for our sins. Pray for and help those in need. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
1st Peter 1:3-10,13 Born Again to a Living Hope!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. For an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled and unfading, kept in heaven for you. You, who by God's power, are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary you have been grieved by various trials. This, so the tested genuineness of your faith -- more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire -- may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with a joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours, searched and inquired carefully. Therefore prepare your minds for action, be self controlled, set your hope fully on the grace to be given to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Habakkuk 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. L🚂

Blessed be our Father who allowed us to be born again through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Put your hope in God's promise. Test your faith as you live through various trials. Never turn from God, take joy in his salvation. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today's thought:
Isaiah 26:1-4,7-9,12,15 Keep Him in Perfect Peace
We have a strong city, God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. Open the gates so the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. The path of the righteous is level; you make level the way of the righteous. In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our hearts. Our soul yearns for you during the night; in the morning our spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. Lord, you established peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. You have increased the nation, O Lord, you have increased the nation and you are glorified; you have extended all the borders of the land.
Colossians 2:2,6 Alive in Christ
Let your hearts be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach the riches of full understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ. Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus our Lord, so walk with him.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. L🚂

Keep your city strong and your hearts pure. Be in perfect peace with the Lord. Trust in the everlasting rock, our God Almighty. Look for his unseen presence as you walk the path of life. Be alive in Christ. Trust in God's unfailing love. Feel the strength of the Lord. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry

Deacon’s Corner - Scripture for today’s thought:
Psalm 27:1,4-5- 8,13-14 The Lord is My Light and My Salvation
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle, and set me high upon the rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face Lord, do I seek." I believe that I shall look upon the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Proverbs 3:27
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do so. L🚂

Let the Lord be your light. Seek his salvation. Let God free you from your enemies. Praise Him with music and song. Look upon the goodness of the Lord and wait for him. Do good and be kind to others. Love one another as God loves you. Have a blessed day. Larry
