In the late 1980's, a respected fellowship of churches held a Christian Ministry Conference in a large Mid-America city. After re-arranging my work schedule and budget accordingly, all the pieces fell into place so I could attend.
There were excellent speakers and teachers leading three sessions per day, with additional breakout workshops in the afternoon and open evangelistic meetings in the evenings.
The mid-day sessions of the last two days featured an elderly minister from the UK. His presence in the auditorium made for difficult viewing. This dear older brother had to stand on an extra high platforms in order to speak into the several mics that were mounted on the podium; and several mics were required to gently and properly amplify his voice so all could hear his message.
The first of his teachings was entitled "The Incandescent Man"; the latter was about "The Indestructible Man". Both messages were deep-dive descriptives on the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul.
Please keep in mind -- the auditorium was packed with ministers, pastors and lay leaders from across the USA. I was just happy to be there at all -- the anonymous newbie sitting three rows from the back wall.
After the seasoned elder's opening presentation, a 24-hour fast was declared for all who wished to participate in repentance and seeking of personal renewal, seeking the return of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit for ALL of the Living Body Of Christ.
During his the closing message, there was neither an altar call nor other scripted / scheduled flourish to bring these two midday presentations to a closing moment. Yet -- something very special began to unfold:
Before the revered minister even began to close his message and put away his notes, many in the audience were beginning to make their way to the front of the sanctuary.
Soon, hundreds of ordained leaders; all seasoned, capable, and some quite battle-weary, found their way to the steps of the broad stage, or stood in open floor-space "down front".
The Holy Spirit began to move deeply in the hearts of God's own called servants. Knees were bowed, and tears flowed freely; many lay prostrate in the floor weeping for the Kingdom of our Holy God. Hearts were melting as hands were lifted up in intercession; all for the sake of His church.
This moment was seared into my own heart, and the extraordinary anointing that rested on this diminutive and faithful servant of God became a teachable moment for this young newbie; that same guy sitting in the back of the hall received a powerful life-lesson about responding to the Holy Call for preaching the Gospel.

THIISSssss.... ...Is what praying for Revival is all about. If the servants and messengers remain to staid and stoic to bare their hearts and shed their own tears for His Church, and for the Homeland we cherish, the Heaven-sent Revival we yearn for will not fall upon us.
THIISSssss.....Is how Holy Fire begins to sweep across the land.
