“Today is suspended on a tree He who suspended the earth upon the waters.

The King of the angels is decked with a crown of thorns.

He who wraps the heavens in clouds is wrapped in the purple of mockery.

He who freed Adam in the Jordan is slapped on the face.

The Bridegroom of the Church is affixed to the Cross with nails.

The Son of the Virgin is pierced by a spear.

We worship Thy passion, O Christ.
We worship Thy passion, O Christ.
We worship Thy passion, O Christ.

Show us also Thy glorious resurrection.”

May your Holy Week be blessed!

“Behold, the Bridegroom comes in the middle of the night, and blessed is that servant whom he shall find watching, but unworthy is he whom he shall find heedless. Beware, therefore, O my soul, lest thou be born down with sleep, lest thou be given up to death and shut out from the kingdom. But rather, rouse thyself and cry: Holy, holy, holy art thou, O God! Through the Theotokos, have mercy on us!

Thy bridal chamber, O my savior, I behold all adorned, and I have no wedding garment that I may enter therein. Make the robe of my soul to shine, O light-giver, and save me!”

Blessings in Christ!

This Sunday, February 27, please join us for Orthros @ 9:00am and Divine Liturgy @ 10:00am, followed immediately by Forgiveness Vespers.

The Holy Fathers teach us that the only true foundation of repentance and healing in Great Lent is to start with forgiveness—to forgive everyone and everything, in obedience to the clear words of our Savior, so that He can forgive us. Please do not miss this service, as it is so incredibly healing and purifying for the soul and for the community.

Following this weekend, we enter into Clean week. Please attempt to make it to the services as often as you’re able, as this week is so incredibly important and healing.
