It comes from a root word meaning “one.” It goes beyond merely standing side by side; it implies
hearts moving in the same direction and functioning as a single unit.

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” -Psalm 133:1 ESV

As sisters in Christ, when we gather together for events like Transformation Night, our hearts join together, move in the same direction and draw closer to Christ.

Are you ready to be stretched?

This month we are focusing on spiritual growth and stepping out of our comfort zones.

In Luke, Jesus told his soon to be disciples to put out into the deep water and let down their nets. This command didn’t make sense and required taking The Lord at His word.

Sometimes in our relationship with the Lord, His commands are going to take trust and will require stepping out of our comfort zones as we grow spiritually.

Teaching Tuesday: Can you feel the growing pains?

Sometimes babies get fussy for no clear reason…they’re fed, changed, and cared for, yet still uncomfortable. Often, it’s simply growing pains. Their bodies are stretching and preparing to do
more. In the same way, we go through seasons of growth.

These moments can feel uncomfortable, lonely, or confusing. But it’s in those times we are
called to draw closer to God and lean on Him.

Joshua 1:9 (ESV) reminds us:
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Just as we comfort a child, God comforts us through every growing season.
