As I was reading this morning Jesus reminded me of a profound truth about faith... it’s not about the size but the quality. Even the tiniest amount of genuine faith, compared to a mustard seed, has incredible power. What seems impossible to us becomes possible when we trust God fully.
So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20
I know there are times that we can feel overwhelmed by challenges that look like mountains to us, but Jesus encourages us not to be discouraged by the size of the challenges. Instead, He calls us to trust Him with even a small amount of faith.
Faith is not about having uncertainty or never doubting. It’s about placing our confidence in God despite the circumstances. And when we do, God can move those 'mountains' in our lives, restoring relationships, healing brokenness, providing for need, or guiding our steps.
Folks, think about a “mountain” in your life, a difficulty that seems immovable. Bring it before God with the faith of a mustard seed and watch how He works in mighty ways.
