"Devotion to God and devotion to prayer are one and the same thing." - EM Bounds
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." - Hebrews 11:6
"Oh, how praying rests the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; so when life seems dark and dreary, don't forget to pray." - Mary Kidder

Teach Us to Pray: Prayer is Protection - Join us for meditations on prayer. In this series, we're slowing down to meditate on some principles of prayer. Prayer is a great privilege and a great gift from God to believers. In this study, we'll seek to learn together what prayer is and what prayer can do. - October 25, 2026

Tomorrow morning at 11:00, join us for our next message in our prayer series: Teach Us to Pray! This week focusses on the protection we have available through prayer. "We wrestle not against flesh and blood," which means if we aren't wrestling in prayer, we're fighting the wrong battle. While the first message on prayer will be leaving Facebook soon, they are still all available on our Youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/
While we do not livestream to Youtube, we try to post Sunday's messages by the end of Monday at the latest over there.

"Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof." - II Kings 7:1-2
When we doubt God because we can't see how He could do it, we are practicing a lack of faith. Trusting God involves exercising faith - the "substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN."
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
How? Not by our own strength of resolve. Not by conjuring up faith ourselves. Not by effort. Only by pleading with God to give us the grace to trust. The grace to believe His Word despite what our eyes see and our mind tells us. The grace to "look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." (II Corinthians 4:18)

Do you want more challenge and encouragement for your faith today? Join us at 11 as we continue our series on learning to pray. We'd love to see you here, to encourage you, and be encouraged by you.

Looking for plans for the weekend? Come join us on Sunday! We have 2 services available for worship and learning. You are welcome to come join us in worship, or come learn more about the great God we serve and His love for you. At 11 am we have our morning service and the topic is our "Teach Us to Pray" series. At 6 pm, Austin Hadley will be speaking on the reality of eternity. It's a great time to come learn and grow, and a great time to support one of our young men as he shares from God's Word.
We don't do anything weird to embarrass visitors, you don't have to try to keep up with standing and sitting at the right times (the song leader may ask everyone to stand, but no surprises where everyone stands and you didn't know what to do). We do take an offering in the morning, but we don't expect visitors to give, and there is no offering in the evening.
We'd love to have you join us and encourage you in any way we can.
