🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to our beloved Pastor, Rev. Dr. Alfred Wright, Jr.! 🎂🎉

This past Sunday, our SPBC family came together for a joyous celebration of the man God has blessed to shepherd our flock! 💙

Our celebration began with an uplifting worship experience as our special guest preacher, Rev. Dr. Nathan Butler, President of Washington International Theological Seminary, delivered a powerful message entitled “Hur People” (Exodus 17:8–13), reminding us of the importance of having people who will pray for us, support us, and help hold up our arms along life’s journey. What a fitting message as we celebrated our Pastor!

The Men’s Ministry brought some extra smiles and laughter as they presented Pastor with a new hat! 🎩😂 Now, we all know Pastor is more of a ball cap kind of guy, but he stepped outside his comfort zone and gave us a moment to remember!

The celebration continued downstairs with delicious food, birthday cake, wonderful fellowship, and lots of love as we honored our Pastor! 🎂🍽️❤️

Pastor Wright, we thank God for your leadership, your faithfulness, and your heart for God’s people. We pray this new chapter brings continued blessings, strength, good health, and abundant joy!

🥳 SPBC family, join us in wishing our Pastor a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 💙🎉

🙌🏽 H.Y.P.E. SUNDAY RECAP! 🔥🙏🏽

What a powerful worship experience as our H.Y.P.E. Youth & Young Adult Ministry led us in service today!

We were blessed to welcome Rev. Dr. Nathan Butler, President of Washington International Theological Seminary, who delivered a powerful message entitled “Hur People” from Exodus 17:8–13.

🙏🏽 One of the most touching moments was his reflection on the power of his mother’s prayers. A beautiful reminder that sometimes we are standing today because somebody prayed for us yesterday! ❤️

Just as Hur helped hold up Moses’ hands, God places people in our lives who help hold us up through prayer, encouragement, and unwavering faith.

Never underestimate the power of a praying mother or the blessing of having “Hur People” in your corner! 🙌🏽

During our 134th Church Anniversary celebration, we had the special privilege of recognizing some of our faithful members whose dedication and service to St. Phillips Baptist Church span 30 to 73 years! 🙌🏽

Their unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and love for this ministry have helped lay the foundation upon which we continue to build today.

As we honor our past and embrace our future, we celebrate these living examples of faithfulness and thank God for the legacy they continue to leave for generations to come. ❤️
