As we go throughout our daily walk and keep growing in the faith, as we encourage others to remain steadfast in moving onward along the path, we cannot overlook the many disasters, uncertainties, upheavals and changes taking place in and outside of our country. But inspite of all of this we must make an effort to keep the melody of joy in our hearts making sure we hold on to that inner peace and happiness no matter what happens around us. We should never allow ourselves to get doomed over failures or any negative energy being thrown at us, instead we should persevere and accept them as stepping stones as we move ahead towards a successful life. Always using our time, skills and abilities efficiently to make our lives successful and happy. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO James 1:9-12 ESV SAYS... [9] Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, [10] and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. [11] For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. [12] Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. STEADFAST SUNDAY

As we move around daily trying to achieve our goals and objectives set out for our day we may inadvertently bumped into individuals who are extremely jealous of how we live our lives. Some may be jealous because of the relationship we share with our God, our spouse, children, extended family or just how we look. Do you remember Daniel? He was a determined man of God, who decided that nothing or no one would stop him from spending time with His God. In fact He shone so brightly that others around him became very jealous and tried to put out his light. Daniel was not alone he actually found himself in the company of Moses, Joseph, David and even Jesus. They all had people who were jealous and envious of what they have. The truth is you will not be favoured when you are different especially if you fear God and cannot be manipulated. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO 2 Timothy 4:16-18 NIV SAYS... [16] At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. [17] But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. [18] The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. FAITHFUL FATHER FRIDAY

Over and over we are encouraged to pray for our needs, for others, and for God's will to be done in our lives. So we should not be afraid to bring anything to God, from daily concerns to the bigger worries we face daily. Prayer is the way by which we communicate with God. It can also be seen as a powerful weapon in the hands of the Children of God. So it should primarily be seen as a two-way dialogue between you and God. At no time should it be just about making requests but we must use it when expressing gratitude, confessing sins, and simply connecting with God in worship and adoration. It may be true that there may be times when our prayers may feel awkward and our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is not in the one who prays it but it is totally in those caring hands of the One who hears it and answers it. Let's pray on. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Romans 8:26-28 KJV SAYS... [26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. THANKFUL THURSDAY

You don't have to like everything about your life, however, sometimes we must accept some things in life in order to move forward or make a change. Acceptance can be a powerful path toward moving into the life you desire. The truth is, we can’t always change our circumstances or change other people, so it only makes good sense to accept some situations and people for what and who they are. Letting go of things out of our control and trusting in the Omniscient God who can lift the weight from our shoulders will make this life easier to live. Never let your history interfere with or determine your destiny. No, let this be the day you stop being a victim of your circumstances. Remember one small crack does not mean you have been shattered, it means you were tested but you didn’t fall apart. Now start taking action towards the life you want. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV SAYS... [1] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, [2] fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. WORK ON IT WEDNESDAY

Have you ever felt like things are just not falling into place despite all your efforts made to accomplish these things? Have you ever felt like a failure and just wanted to quit? Have you ever been so down that you didn’t think you would ever be up again? One of the best ways to not feel like failures is to place all that we do in the hands of God. God works through obedience, not perfection; faithfulness, not faultlessness. God will bring to completion the work that He started in each of our lives. What God promises, God fulfills. What God starts, He finishes. What He commits Himself to, He completes. So we do not have to try to fix our issues. It is not left up to us to complete our salvation by what we do. No, God is working and will continue until Jesus returns. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Philippians 1:3-6 NIV SAYS... [3] I thank my God every time I remember you. [4] In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy [5] because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, [6] being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Right now your lives might be surrounded by spiritual battles but God has a plan for your deliverance long before your problems ever appear. Maybe the armed Egyptians are chasing you and you are at the edge of your Red Sea wanting to surrender to your enemies but God is saying stretch out your rod. The truth is no matter what you are going through or what storms you are facing in life, you should take your position. Don’t give up. Stand still. Life is full of big battles, chaotic challenges, and tough trials that test our faith. But just as God was with the Israelites in the wilderness, He is with us today. And that same Spirit is inside of us. So no matter how dire our circumstances may seem, His presence never leaves us. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Deuteronomy 20:1-4 NLT SAYS... [1] “When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you! [2] When you prepare for battle, the priest must come forward to speak to the troops. [3] He will say to them, ‘Listen to me, all you men of Israel! Do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them. [4] For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’ FIGHT FOR YOU FRIDAY

It is natural for us to feel incapable or insecure during trying times in life, but it is during these times that we should lean on God for strength and wisdom. When God strengthen us to do anything we will come out like a true champion. David was not just an ordinary one time win warrior. He was a powerful and highly successful warrior, overcoming much stronger enemies than himself. But none of this was accomplished by his own strength. It was God who strengthen, directed and guided him through all of these battles. So at no time did he take credit for his success. He recognized that all of this was done by the might and power of Almighty God. It is therefore, very important for us to bear in mind that as soon as we recognize that God is fighting our battles, we must give Him the praise and glory for the victory. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Psalms 18:41-46 NKJV SAYS...[41] They cried out, but there was none to save; Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them. [42] Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like dirt in the streets. [43] You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You have made me the head of the nations; A people I have not known shall serve me. [44] As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me. [45] The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts. [46] The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted. MIGHTY MOVE MONDAY

Sometimes the cares and pressure of life weigh us down so badly that we forget that the God we serve is limitless in His mercy. And so His limitless mercy is available to all of us who fear Him and walk in obedience to His Word. God has not changed He is still the same today as He was over two thousand years ago. We just need to cast our cares on Him. It is true however, that whether the suffering results from our own poor choices, the unkindness of others or a source totally out of our control, we sometimes feel abandoned by God. But God is a good Father. He cares, He protects, He provides, He sustains and He even bears our burdens daily. He is more than enough to meet all our and needs. When we need healing He is our healer, when we need provision He is our provider, when we need deliverance He is our deliverer. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Psalm 55:16-19 KJV SAYS... [16] As for me, I will call upon God; And the LORD shall save me. [17] Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: And he shall hear my voice. [18] He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: For there were many with me. [19] God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. SOVEREIGN GOD SATURDAY

There are some things that happen to us in life that we have no control over. Yet there are persons who are quick to right you off, condemn you and just push you aside. The story of Job teaches us that suffering is not always as a result of living a Godless or carefree life. Neither is it always punishment for sin. But one thing is sure we can trust God even when life makes no sense, even when friends reject us and condemn us like they did Job. We should also note that despite losing his family, wealth, and health, Job showed a steadfast faith in God while he struggled with rejection, pain and grief. What we should therefore understand is that life has a way of teaching us lessons we never asked to learn. So whether it is through loss, disappointment or ill health we need to realize that things don’t always work out the way we planned. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO Hebrews 10:35-38 NIV SAYS... [35] So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. [36] You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. [37] For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” [38] And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” TRIUMPHANT THURSDAY

In recent times and in some parts of the world we have been experiencing really dry times and very hot temperatures, what seems like a prolong drought. The land has become dry and parched in some areas. You can literally see that the vegetation is crying of for water. Yes, they are longing for some real showers. But have you ever had a thirsting that no natural water can quench, no amount of ice cold water or frozen drink can satisfy. As it were, you feel like this Samaritan woman who went to the well in the middle of the day seeking to quench her thirst only to be told that natural water couldn't help her. Well let me tell you Jesus has satisfied her thirst and is waiting to do the same for you. Once you acknowledge that you are spiritually dehydrated He will quench the thirsting of your heart and soul. THE WORD OF GOD ACCORDING TO John 7:37-38 NIV SAYS... [37] On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. [38] Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” WATER YOUR SOUL WEDNESDAY
