About us

This church welcomes you no matter who you are, where you come from or why you are here. We are Christ’s people, and this is Christ’s place with its doors open wide. If you are passing through, Godspeed; if you are looking for a home, stay here; if you need instruction, learn from us as we learn from you. We invite visitors to join us and, most of all, to return often.

First Presbyterian Church is located at 924 Van Buren Avenue, across from Bottletree Bakery and just west of Oxford’s historic Square. It is bounded on the north by Van Buren, on the east by 10th Street, on the south by Tyler Street and on the west by 9th Street. Handicap access is available on the Tyler Street side.

Except during the summer months, two services of worship are held each Sunday at 8:30 am (communion weekly) and 11:00 am (communion first Sunday of each month) in the Sanctuary. Fellowship is held from 9:30-9:45 am in Fellowship Hall, followed by Church School for all ages at 9:45 am in various locations on the church campus. A nursery is also available each Sunday.
