Third Baptist Church is a community of Christian believers, committed to worshiping God, proclaiming the Good News, making disciples, and ministering to people. Our doors and heart are open to all desiring a personal relationship with Jesus. We strive to do this without prejudice, without judgment, without condemnation, knowing that we too are sinners. We reach out to others through our ministries

of feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, giving comfort during the storms of worldly life, learning the Bible in our studies and leading others to Christ by our testimony and example. Our worship style is traditional, infused with congregational hymn singing and choir anthems. The Pastor's message from scripture is given so that we understand how it was relevant not only to the time it was written, but how it applies to us today. We affirm that all men and all women are called to be children of God through the grace of Jesus Christ and to be ministers of the Gospel.

🌟 The Resting Place Ministry Continues to Grow! 🌟

We are excited to share that since opening our doors, The Resting Place Ministry has served and supported 162 individuals in our community. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, volunteered, and donated to help make this ministry possible.

As our ministry grows, so does our ability to meet needs. We have recently added a Rec Room/Day Room where guests can relax, watch TV, enjoy a meal, and find a welcoming place to rest and recharge during their time with us on Thursdays.

To help us continue expanding this space, we are currently seeking donations of:

🛋️ Seating (couches, chairs, recliners, etc.)
📺 Items to make the space more comfortable and welcoming
🍽️ Microwave
🥤 Refrigerator or beverage cooler
💡Lamps

We are also beginning to accept donations of food and drinks that can be offered for breakfast and lunch, including:

🥣 Breakfast items
🍲 Microwave meals
🥪 Shelf-stable lunch items
🥤 Drinks
🍪 Snacks

Every donation, big or small, helps us provide hospitality, comfort, and practical support to those who walk through our doors.

📦 Food Pantry Box Donation Request 📦

Our Food Pantry is in need of small to medium-sized empty boxes!

Each week, we use these boxes to distribute food to families in our community. As we continue serving those in need, our supply of boxes runs low quickly, and your donations can make a big difference.

If you have any clean, sturdy small or medium-sized boxes that you would normally recycle, please consider donating them to our Food Pantry.

Boxes can be dropped off at Third Baptist Church during office hours.

Our Food Pantry continues to serve many families in our community, and we are so grateful for the ongoing support! Right now, we have several needs, and you can help by donating through our Amazon Wish List or by dropping off items at the church.

Current high-need items include:
• Spaghetti noodles & Spaghetti sauce
• Peanut Butter
• Crackers
• Canned fruit
• Mac & Cheese
• Instant mashed potatoes
• Ravioli

📢 Volunteers Needed This Thursday! 📢

Our Resting Place Ministry is in need of volunteers this Thursday, and we currently have every shift available from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.

The Resting Place provides a safe, welcoming space for individuals in our community who need a place to rest, recharge, and experience the love of Christ. Volunteers help by offering hospitality, conversation, and a caring presence.

🕒 Volunteer shifts are just 2 hours long:
• 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
• 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
• 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

We would love to have 2 volunteers for each shift.

Whether you can serve for one shift or multiple shifts, your time can make a meaningful difference in someone's day.
