I wanted to hold my youngest nephew for as long as he was content. He was heavy in my arms, but I wasn’t going to put him down or pass him off to someone else at the family gathering. Later on, I carried my other young nephew and let him help me hand out gifts. As he leaned forward with each...

We needn't agree on a single matter to be respectful of and kind to one another. Please join me and encourage others to do the same. Together, we will make a difference. Praying for and wishing you a day filled with peace, kindness, and, most of all, Love. God bless.

💙🤍 MINNESOTA THINGS 🤍💙

There’s something special about Minnesota that’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it for yourself.

It’s the sound of a loon calling across a quiet lake at sunrise. It’s cabins tucked among the pines, fishing boats heading out before dawn, and endless stretches of water reflecting the northern sky. The North Star State isn’t just known for its beautiful lakes and forests—it’s known for its strong communities, outdoor traditions, and a way of life built around every season.

From hotdish at family gatherings and wild rice harvested from northern waters to fresh walleye dinners and trips to the local cabin, Minnesota’s culture is rooted in tradition, hospitality, and pride. Summer brings lake days and fishing weekends, fall paints the forests in brilliant color, winter transforms the landscape into a snowy playground, and spring signals the return of life across the state's woods and wetlands.

The iconic North Shore of Lake Superior, the Boundary Waters, and the Mississippi River all serve as reminders of the natural beauty that surrounds Minnesotans every day. Whether you're exploring the forests around Ely, enjoying a weekend on Mille Lacs, visiting Duluth, or spending time in the Twin Cities, Minnesota has a way of making people feel connected to the outdoors.

It's a place where neighbors help neighbors, where lake cabins become family traditions, and where memories are made around campfires, fishing docks, and snowy winter adventures.

Minnesota isn't just a state—it's a lifestyle, a tradition, and a feeling of home that stays with you wherever you go.

🤍 10,000 Lakes. 🤍 North Woods. 🤍 Cabin Life. 🤍 Minnesota Nice.

Summer Book Study 2026: "Building Beloved Community"

You're invited to participate in a 2026 Summer Book Study led by Bishop Lanette. In this area-wide study, United Methodists across the Dakotas and Minnesota are invited to read "Building Beloved Community: The Courage to Love in the Face of Tyranny" by The United Methodist Council of Bishops. This book offers a prophetic roadmap for these turbulent times where we see polarization dividing communities and people of faith confronted with an urgent question: “What does faithful discipleship look like when beloved community is under attack?” Through biblical reflection, global perspectives, and practical strategies, participants will discern faithful responses to local challenges while connecting to the worldwide struggle for justice and peace.

All are welcome! Mark your calendar and encourage others to join you.

Order your book or e-book now!
