America’s 250th: Come to Our Lady’s Shrine

As “one nation under God,” we gather not only to celebrate, but to pray for our country and to learn about the holy men and women who showed us how to live the Catholic faith in America.

This special event will bring awareness to 76 Saints, Blesseds, Venerables, and Servants of God who lived and served in the United States.

Join us as we come together at Our Lady’s Shrine to honor America’s Catholic heritage, pray for our nation, and celebrate the witnesses of faith who helped shape the Church in the United States.

Over 13 relics of American Saints and Blesseds,
Speakers from more than 30 Causes and Shrines across the country, a first-of-its-kind exhibit honoring the Saints, a novena for our Nation, and fun for families and people of all ages.

This year marks 250 years as a country. Let’s give this flag the respect and honor it is due, considering all who fought for the freedoms and liberty it affords us. For those with flags ready for retirement, bring them to our Flag Day collection and replace yours with a new flag in preparation for Independence Day.

Today the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, joined by parishes and faithful across the country. The act of consecration takes place as part of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
