Tuesday's Thought for the Day!

Bright sunshine this morning and warm temperatures. This is going to be a good day weather-wise and you can make it a good day in every way with Jesus beside you. Be kind and help when and where you
can. Pray for our nation and for peace in the world.

I have a smart phone and a watch that can do far more than tell time, but I don't use either one to its full capacity because I am not technically inclined. I use them for what I need and am thankful for that. I read this this morning.." Technology brings us close to those who are far away but far away from those who are close."

Boy that's true for it seems many prefer texting to face to face visits. Face time, and other forms of media contact are good, but really being WITH someone is so much better!

Being with God is the BEST of all though. And with Him you don't need a smartphone or a watch that you can receive calls through. God is always with us and all we need do is call on His name.

Today actually be with someone you love. Talk face to face and enjoy being close. And every day be close to God and you will be better for it.

Blessings,
Dayle

Thought for the Weekend!

Good morning and Happy Friday. The sun is shining and it is to be a warm one today, so enjoy the day. Be kind and help when and where you can. Pray for others, for our nation and for peace too.

Yesterday I had a stress test. Funny but taking a stress test is automatically stressful, isn't it? Between no coffee and the early hour I was doubly glad when it was over and I remained upright through it.
LOL Results will be made known at some point.

I was relieved when the test was over and I had to think about how we can de-stress without a test...we lean on Jesus and trust in Him! He is always ready to help us, we don't need to make an appointment, we
just need to ask Him for help, guidance and His presence.

Today and every day when we feel overwhelmed, just go to Jesus and feel
the instant relief only He can provide.

Blessings,
Dayle

Wednesday & Thursday's Thought for the Day!

Good morning! We had an early shower, but all is dry now and the birds are singing happily. I won't be on tomorrow morning as I have some medical tests in the EARLY morning. Be kind and help when and where you can. Please pray for others, for our nation and for peace.

Yesterday I had to travel for work. One thing about driving I don't like is getting on and off exit ramps.Traffic was heavy and I asked Jesus to help get me on the highway and, just like that, an opening happened
and I was able to merge into the traffic.

Was that a coincidence? Maybe, but I prefer to think Jesus was right there, knowing my anxiety and helping me. And I immediately gave Him thanks! He does that, you know! Jesus helps us in all situations, known and unknown. So, I need to remember that not only when I am driving but 24/7.

Today and every day, let us not be lax in asking Jesus to help us and let us also give Him thanks when He does. Our days will be better for it, I know!

Blessings,
Dayle

Tuesday's Thought for the Day!

Good morning and wasn't yesterday pretty? Today is starting out rather cloudy but the temps are good and no wind so I'll take it! Be kind today and help when and where you can. Please pray for others, for our nation and for peace.

Yesterday I painted the trim around my back door. First, I scraped off the loose paint and then applied new paint to protect the wood from rain etc. I'll do another coat today or tomorrow and then it should be good.

As I was painting, I thought about how paint covers the wood, and protects it from the elements. Not only that, it, improves the looks of the property.

God's forgiveness is even better than the paint though for unlike paint which has to be redone His forgiveness lasts!! God may first have to "scrape" us, get our attention, and cause us to recognize our sins. But once that happens and we confess and pray to Him we are "covered," we are forgiven and we are made good as new!

I'll need to add another coat of paint to the door, but God has me covered, loved, forgiven and blessed. How about you?

Blessings,
Dayle

Thought for Memorial Day!

What a pretty morning here, bright sun and blue skies! I hope everyone has a great day. Be kind and help when and where you can. Remember to pray for others and for peace in our world and nation.

Memorial Day! As I think about today, I remember stories of my dad who I never met. He was killed in Germany during WWII. I think of my husband Ray who died from the effects of Agent Orange which was used in Viet Nam where he served in the Marines.

The old saying "freedom isn't free" is certainly true and their lives and countless other lives are testament to this. So, enjoy today with friends and family, be safe and pause a moment or two to remember the
sacrifices that were made so you could have the freedom to enjoy today.

Blessings,
Dayle

Thought for the Weekend!

Good morning and an overcast beginning to the day, but no rain due at least so far. Be kind and help when and where you can and remember to pray for our nation and for peace in the world.

This is Memorial Day weekend, I hope everyone has a safe and happy one. Remember to give thanks for all those who gave their lives for our freedoms. Take a moment in your weekend to pray for those
that lost loved ones too for they also sacrificed.

The city is working on the street a half block from me and the trucks
line up in front of the house with rock, etc. The intersection is closed and things are a mess, but once the project is completed, we should have new surfaces and better traffic flow.

This project makes me think about how we sometimes need to be "remade," especially when we act contrary to Jesus' teachings. When we fail to forgive, when we don't act in love, when we fail to help others and exhibit unhealthy attitudes...we need a "remake." It is then that we go and ask
for forgiveness and for direction to do better. Our outsides may stay the same, but our spirits and our souls will be renewed, and we can go forward with joy.

Today and every day when you find yourself in need of a "remake" don't
hesitate! You will be better for it, and you can then help others do better too.

Blessings,
Dayle

Thursday's Thought for the Day!

Good morning and a day with no rain. Be kind and help when and where you can. Please pray for our nation and for peace.

Who do you trust? Do you trust your family members? I hope so. Do you trust postings on the internet? I would be careful here. Do you trust the telemarketers that call? That's a slippery slope.

Sometimes it is hard to know who and what to trust. With AI and all the scams out there, trusting is sometimes difficult, isn't it? I know of several people who have had bad outcomes from misplaced trust.

Thankfully, there is one you can trust God! Proverbs 29:25b says "...trusting the Lord means safety" NLT

When we put our faith and our trust in God, we can be sure it is not a scam and we can rest easy. So today, be careful about what and whom you trust and remember there is really only One in whom you can fully put your trust, God!

Blessings,
Dayle
