Tomorrow is Mother's Day! We want to create space to celebrate all the mothers in our lives, while also honoring the complex emotions that might come along with Mother's Day. We have set up candles at the front of the Gathering Space for tomorrow, and you are invited to come forward to light a candle before or after the worship service, as an act of remembrance on this Mother's Day.

It is Good Friday, the day that we remember when Jesus died a gruesome death on the cross. We take time to pause and feel the weight of this day in history. Grace will be open until 2:00 this afternoon and again from 4:00-6:00 this evening for you to engage in a contemplative practice called Stations of the Cross.

We have ten stations set up in the Gathering Space, each inviting you to reflect and meditate on different moments of Jesus' last day.

Come and go as you please. Take ten minutes or take an hour. These stations are here for you to meet with Jesus.

It feels cold out there.
It feels dark out there.

In moments like this, many of us are asking honest questions about faith, harm, and hopeโ€”and about what it means to live faithfully when the world feels heavy.

This short devotional reflects on Jesusโ€™ words about being salt and light, and on the simple practices that can steady us:
doing no harm, doing good, and staying rooted in love.

Whether youโ€™re part of a church community, unsure about church, or simply looking for something thoughtful to carry into the week, I hope this offers a moment of grounding and encouragement.
