Thought for the day. Too many church systems and leaders try to exert their will on people (read that as control). They think they are being spiritual, but they are not.

Pastor David Olsen said: “Manipulation is an attempt to leverage someone’s unresolved emotional baggage in order to control their behavior. It is an attempt to enforce your expectations through the threat of negative relational consequences if they do not cooperate. It removes their personal volition by making them suffer if they don’t do it your way. This is not leadership, it is manipulation. It is the not the way of the Kingdom, it is actually the foundation of witchcraft, which by the way, according to the Apostle Paul, is a work of the flesh (Galatians 5:18-21).”

Lead by example - not cohersion.
