It was a moving closing ceremony for the Lenape Immersion retreat at The Center at Mariandale. We said goodbye, just for now, with poetry, music, wit and wisdom from our guests and the Dominican Sisters of Hope. We'll see you down the road in August!

At age 89, Opal Lee made a symbolic walk from Fort Worth to Washington, D.C., building on the annual 2.5-mile walks she began years earlier to advocate for federal recognition of Juneteenth.

Her legacy reflects the power of resilience, education, and grassroots activism to create lasting social change.

We're so grateful to Green Ossining for holding their Repair Cafe at The Center at Mariandale this past Sunday. There was a steady stream of visitors throughout the session bearing laptops, lamps, watches, guitars, toys, collectibles, small electronics, and you-name-its.
