JAM is starting September 23 at Ossian Lutheran!

We are so excited to welcome kids from our community for Jesus And Me (JAM)!

JAM is a place for kids to open the Bible, ask questions, wonder, play, create, move, build friendships, and discover just how much God loves them—and have a whole lot of fun along the way!

JAM is open to children Pre-K (age 4) through 6th grade, and you do not need to be a member of Ossian Lutheran to participate. Friends are welcome! 💛

Jesus And Me needs the WE! We are also looking for volunteers to help make JAM happen. Whether you enjoy working with kids, preparing snacks, leading an activity, or helping behind the scenes, there is a place for you!

JAM will meet on Wednesdays according to the South Winneshiek school calendar. If there is no school on Wednesday, there will be no JAM. Weather cancellations will follow South Winneshiek school cancellations.

Today Pastor Beth Hurt was installed at Ossian. Our service was led by Rev. Kristen Corr Rod with many members of the congregations of Ossian Lutheran Church and St Peter Lutheran Eldorado participating in the service. We enjoyed a noon meal together provided by the Albers of West Union Event Center. It was a lovely service and we enjoyed cake and punch after. Thank you to all who made this happen and a big welcome to Pastor Beth! Elizabeth Hurt

Reminder: We will not have our regular 8:30 service this week as we are celebrating the installation of our Pastor Beth Hurt. Join us at noon for the meal followed by the worship service at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 30th. We will be sharing this celebration with St Peter Lutheran Eldorado and look forward to seeing everyone!

Reminder: We start this afternoon.

A new Bible Study program is starting on Tuesday, August 25th at 3 pm. It will be held the fourth Tuesday of each month. This is just a start and if there is interest, we will look at times for those working during the day. Come join us and learn about the book of Romans. Everyone is welcome! All denominations.

This morning children of all ages received a backpack blessing and key with tag to remind them to start each day with a good thought and open heart! We want to wish all kids a safe and fun school year ahead as they head back to school tomorrow! We can't forget teachers and staff as well!
