🌟 Honoring Juneteenth: A Day of Freedom and Reflection 🌟

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—an important milestone in American history that commemorates the end of slavery. Here are some key facts to remember:

📅 **Historical Significance**
On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that the Civil War had ended and that all enslaved people were free. This proclamation came more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863. While the Emancipation Proclamation declared freedom for enslaved individuals in Confederate states, it wasn't until General Granger's announcement that freedom was enforced in Texas—the last holdout for slavery in the U.S. They were free but didn't know until the word was brought to them.

July 19th from 6-8 PM is our annual All Church Pool Party. Join us for a great night of fellowship together!

August 21st at 7:10 PM - Join us at the K for the Royals Faith and Family night! Tickets are $25.
