09/06/2026: Sunday worship at The Federated Church of Orleans on the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost – see link below. Rev. Darren Morgan’s message is titled “Learning Love, Living Light,” which is based on Psalm 119:33-40; Romans 13:8-14; and Matthew 18:15-20. Using the image of the Nauset Marsh Trail whose full pathway cannot be seen, Rev. Morgan calls the congregation to trust God’s guidance as we move through a season of transformation. Psalm 119 invites a posture of humility, teachability, and openness; Romans 13 urges spiritual wakefulness and names courageous love as the ethic by which the church’s future should be shaped; and Matthew 18 presents honest conversation, accountability, reconciliation, and shared life as essential practices of Christian community. Rather than measuring its worth by size, age, or past patterns, the congregation is encouraged to discern the wisdom and gifts already present, trust Christ’s promise to be among even small gatherings, and take the next faithful steps toward becoming the community God is calling us to be…
