Sabbath isn't simply a reward we earn after working hard; it is a gift and spiritual practice God gives us for our own good and for the good of others. Pastor Doug will share devotions focused on what it means to rest and the need for Sabbath. Today’s reading is Exodus 23:10-19, You Deserve a Break. The Verse of the Day is Exodus 23:12, Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest, so that your ox and your donkey may have relief, and your homeborn slave and the resident alien may be refreshed.

This week, we concluded the worship series, "Anchored in the Unchanging Christ: A Letter to the Hebrews." Our pastors will be using the daily devotions throughout this series to dig deeper into the Book of Hebrews. Pastor Doug focused this week on Hebrews 13:18-25, encouraging us to see “A Vision of Glory.” Today’s reading is Colossians 3:1-17, Grace in Community: Bearing With One Another. The Verse of the Day is Colossians 3:12-13, As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
