It's an ancient Christian tradition on this day, The Feast of the Epiphany, to chalk a blessing over your door. Or beside your door if ladders aren't a good option for you! The inscription begins and ends with two pairs of digits, "20" and "26" for the new year. Following "20" are the initials of the three wise men, C for Caspar, M for Melchior and B for Balthazar. Four crosses link the digits and initials. CMB also represents "Christus Mansionem Benedicat"... In Latin, " Christ bless this house." May you be blessed in this new year of life!
