If your kiddo is interested in possibly being baptized on September 20, please plan to attend a brief meeting from 12:00-12:30 this Sunday, September 6. We will meet in the conference room just off the elementary worship room.

We will talk about what it means to be baptized and will go over the process of just how that works. No commitment--just come to hear about this next step in your child's faith journey.

Your kiddos first day is likely fast approaching. Read some advice from Miss Melodie to help your transition to school go a little easier!

Have your supplies bought and the backpacks ready to go the night before. This will make a busy, anxious morning run smoother.

Having something like that to look forward to will turn the focus away from all the nerves.

If you think they will struggle with sharing, act out what they should do when they want a turn with a toy. If you think they will be shy, have them practice asking a friend to play. etc.

They take their cues from you. Help nervous kids change their focus. Talk about all the things they will learn and all the ways they will grow! Instead of just dwelling on their fears.

Develop a fun and short routine to do with them and then leave!!!! I promise you the teachers are used to dealing with tears. It will be easier on everyone for them to get started with their day. Long goodbyes (especially when a kiddo is struggling) only makes it worse for the child, teacher, other kids and yourself!

If you will be kid free, take some time and enjoy it or take your mind off missing them. Either one is a great reason to connect with others.

..starts this Sunday night! Also sometimes known as children's quizzing, this awesome program is a great way for kiddos to dig deeper into the world while spending time with friends.

Whether they want to participate in quiz meets or just hang out and learn, all 1st-5th graders are welcome! Join us every Sunday evening from 4:30-5:15 in the Kids Worship Room.
