Put It Into Practice Sermon Series Week Five

Oneness is not uniformity. We do not all think alike, act alike, or share the same preferences. Rather, we share the same life in Christ.

Our conversation on Sunday reminded us that while oneness is already spiritually true, we can either reveal it or obscure it through the way we live.

Jesus repeats twice that our oneness matters “so that the world may believe” and “so that the world may know.”

As we celebrate the end of the school year, we want to give a big thank you to Sandy Rempel for six years of service as our preschool director. Sandy will retire this year to care for her two new grandchildren full time. Thank you Sandy for the way you have loved and cared for so many over these six years. We are grateful for all you have done for OCC in this position.

Appreciation also goes to Angela, Bri, Laura and Sarah for a great school year! Thank you for teaching these special kids in the way they should go. Enjoy your summer!

Put Into Practice

Here are 2 questions for you to ask God each morning to help you intentionally push past this limited understanding and to learn to listen and see how God is intimately involved in your life.

Ask the Spirit to help you learn to hear His voice by helping you with the following 2 questions.

First question:

"What is it that you are saying to me right now?"
write down the first thing that comes to your mind - don't worry if it is not super profound.

Once you have something for question one, here is question 2:

"What do you want me to do with this?"
Again, write down the first thing that comes to mind.

Keep this with you throughout the day (take a picture if you need to) then pay attention to how it ties into your day.

Here's your one-stop shop for all things summer at OCC. Many ongoing ministries will continue to meet but here are summer specific events. Parents of students, be sure you're able to get communication about pop up youth events to stay connected with our church friends throughout the summer. Registrations are live for all of these events and can be found through the church app or website.
