Darren and I got to see the movie Reagan. We really enjoyed the movie. While the movie is really good, I think the producers struggle to get his whole life summarized into 2hrs. I think it also only presents Reagan in his best light. Having said that, I am looking forward to taking our children to see the movie. I would highly recommend the movie.

Darren and I recently had the privilege of previewing The Forge, the newest Kendrick's Brother movie. I believe Darren and I have seen all the Kendrick's brother movies, and we think this one is one of the top three they have produced. I would highly recommend watching this movie. It has a great and timely message for the church. It's being released in theaters August 23rd, 2024. (Darren thinks it's the most important one to see out of all the Kendrick's Brother Movies.)

A couple of nights ago, we got preview Unsung Hero, the new movie about Rebecca St. James and her family. While I am not a big fan of contemporary Christian music, the movie was excellent. I would highly recommend the movie. It is family friendly and safe for about any age.

Our family recently read the book Durable Trades. To be honest, Darren didn't enjoy the book as much as several of the other family members did. (If you are expecting a Randy Alcon novel, you will be disappointed in Durable Trades. It's a much dryer read.) However, the book had some great ideas regarding home businesses. It gave an excellent historical summary with a Christian Worldview of the economy and the historical stability of 60 plus occupations. This is castilleja, or what is commonly called Indian Paint Brush. The flower is edible in most areas. In Colorado, it can contain too much selenium and needs to be eaten in moderation. However, the soil in Oklahoma is low in selenium, and they should be fine to eat here in Oklahoma.
