First Church-OKC

First Church-OKC First Church OKC is a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in a life-giving community! Church is about connecting people to God and to one another.

If God calls you to First Church, we look forward to you being part of our family of faith as we partner with local schools, reach out to the downtown homeless population, collaborate with the OKC National Memorial and Museum, and make a difference in our neighborhoods. We look forward to seeing God’s continued work in our city. There is no debate that the best is yet to come for First Church and for OKC!

OKC Women: You’re invited!
Join us and The Christ Experience on Saturday, September 26 at 11am for a special Women’s Ministry event in partnership with Church Ladies OK, a local ministry that brings gifts and encouraging messages to women who work in the adult entertainment industry.

We’ll start with brunch and then spend the afternoon putting together 300+ gifts to be delivered throughout the month of October. There’s plenty to do, so all hands are welcome!

Come connect, serve, and be part of sharing a little encouragement with women in our city.

On Sunday, we kicked off our new sermon series "ROOTED" by asking: How do we remain standing when everything around us feels like it’s moving?

We’re living in a time filled with uncertainty - uncertainty in relationships, loneliness, division, and countless voices telling us what to believe and where to put our trust.

Our first message, "Rooted in Christ", took us to Colossians 2:6–7, reminding us that when our lives are rooted in Christ, we have a foundation that doesn’t shift with the world around us.

→> Rooted in Christ. Built up in faith. Standing strong.

There is something powerful about knowing we don’t have to carry everything on our own. Prayer gives us a chance to bring our joys, worries, hopes, and needs before God - and to lift up the people around us, too.

Next time you’re in, take a moment to add a little note to our prayer wall! Write down a prayer, a person, a situation, or something you’re thankful for ❤

On Sunday, we found Joseph in the palace - now with authority, influence, and resources. And with that power came a question: What will Joseph do with what he’s been given?

Joseph could have chosen revenge or allowed his past to make him bitter. Instead, he chose faithfulness, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
We were reminded that God can take what was intended against us and use it for good and for His glory.
Joseph’s suffering didn’t have the final word - God was shaping him for a purpose!

Missed a sermon (or two)? You can catch up anytime! Find the "Intended for Good" series on our YouTube channel or through the media page on our website.
