It’s Pride Month! While we celebrate the dignity and belovedness of every person all year long, June offers a special opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate together.

At St. Paul’s, we’re excited to launch a new Cathedral Beloved Circle for LGBTQ+ people and allies. Join us this Sunday, June 7, for lunch and conversation at 12:30pm in Dean Willey Hall, and again on Friday, June 26@at 7pm as we continue building community, sharing stories, and exploring what it means to live faithfully and authentically together.

There are several opportunities to participate throughout the month, including Pride Sunday, formation offerings, fellowship gatherings, and community events.

You belong. No exceptions.

Trinity Sunday is here!

This Sunday we celebrate one of the Church’s most profound mysteries: one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—revealing that relationship, love, and community are at the very heart of God’s life.

We’re also delighted to welcome The Very Rev. Joseph Alsay, Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Detroit, who will preach at the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services.

During Formation Hour at 10:10 a.m. in Dean Willey Hall, join us for Find Your Place, the final session in our Belonging Series. Whether you’re new to St. Paul’s or looking for your next step in ministry and community, this conversation is for you.

Holy Eucharist at 8:00, 9:00, and 11:15 a.m. A meaningful day of worship, learning, and connection awaits. We hope you’ll join us!

This Trinity Sunday, we are honored to welcome The Very Rev. Joseph Alsay, Dean of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Detroit, as our guest preacher at the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. Holy Eucharists.

Many in Oklahoma know Dean Alsay from his faithful 15 years of ministry at St. Augustine of Canterbury in Oklahoma City before answering a call to serve as dean of Detroit’s cathedral church. During that transition, a special friendship developed between Dean Alsay and our own Dean Katie Churchwell—one rooted in shared ministry, mutual encouragement, and a deep love for the Church.

We are delighted to welcome Dean Alsay back to Oklahoma and to St. Paul’s Cathedral on Trinity Sunday. Join us as we gather for worship, hear his preaching, and celebrate the ways God connects communities and clergy across dioceses, cities, and generations.

We look forward to welcoming Dean Alsay to St. Paul’s this Sunday. All are Welcome and all are invited to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Oklahoma City.

Trinity Sunday is on the horizon, and it will be a special time of worship, formation and fellowship at St. Paul’s!

Join us for Holy Eucharist at 8, 9, or 11:15 a.m. as we celebrate one of the great feast days of the Church year. During Formation at 10:10 a.m., we’ll conclude our spring Belonging Series with Find Your Place—an opportunity to explore ways to connect, serve, and grow more deeply in the life of the cathedral.

We’re also delighted to welcome The Very Rev. Joseph Alsay, Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Detroit, who will be preaching at the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services.

With meaningful worship, beautiful music, and opportunities to deepen your connection to our community, it’s a Sunday you won’t want to miss. We hope to see you at St. Paul’s!

A remarkable recent discovery from the archives at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral — our archivist Karen recently uncovered this 1927 Journal of the Thirty-Third Annual Convocation of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Missionary District of Oklahoma, which includes David Pendleton Oakerhater listed among the clergy of Oklahoma.

Seeing Oakerhater’s name printed in this official register nearly a century ago is deeply moving. A Cheyenne man, former warrior, prisoner of war, deacon, teacher, and now saint of the Episcopal Church, Oakerhater’s life remains one of the most important and powerful stories in the history of the Church in Oklahoma. His witness to faith, reconciliation, courage, and Indigenous leadership continues to shape and challenge the Church today.

Moments like this remind us what a treasure our cathedral archives truly are. These aren’t simply old papers on a shelf — they are living connections to the people, stories, and sacred history that continue to form our community. We are so grateful to Karen and her team, for helping preserve and share these remarkable pieces of our story!

Pentecost joy looked a little like this on Sunday during our Pentecost Reception!
Music at the piano from the Gonzalez brothers, dancing in the sun, laughter echoing through the room, and a community gathered together in celebration of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the church’s joy simply can’t stay still!
