Okemos Community Church Okemos Community Church is an independent congregation, with a long and deep affiliation to the United Methodist Church. We also stream on Facebook and YouTube.

In-person worship is Sundays at 10am with Sunday School simultaneously. Office open M-Th. Okemos Community Church offers spirited worship that is biblically-based and traditional in style (hymns, choir, organ, piano). We value:

In worship last Sunday, we asked everyone to write or draw what they might like to say about God. One of our youngest disciples wrote, "I love you God," and we have nothing to add except: amen!!

This is part of our worship series focusing on six faith formation practices for all ages, with different hands-on activities added to worship each week! We'll add new reminders of each practice to the table on the sanctuary each week. Find out which practice is next this Sunday at 10am!

It's Annual Conference weekend, when United Methodist clergy and delegates from churches all around the state gather for worship, fellowship, and the business of the church. One particular highlight this weekend is that Jodi Cartwright, an OCC member who entered into pastoral ministry, will be ordained by the Bishop on Sunday! Beach, campfires, sunshine, and worship - what could make for a better weekend? Even a few spots of rain couldn't dampen our spirits too much! Our family campers had a great time out at Lake Michigan Family Campground as we continued our long tradition of Memorial Day Weekend Family Camp. Some of our campers have been going to family camp every year for more than three decades! 🏕️⛱️☀️

I spy with my little eye ... something different! Can you tell what it is? 👀

The welcome desk is where new visitors are welcomed to our church every Sunday with a smile and a gift of coffee or tea. This week, we made it a little easier to spot by adding the welcome sign to the front! The best feedback so far came when someone asked if it was new but almost didn't believe the answer because it matches so well!

Many thanks to our Congregation Connections committee for making this happen and to the endowment for providing a grant to do it!
