What is Taizé Prayer?

Our Taizé Prayer service is a candlelit service based on a style that originates from a Christian community in Taizé, France. This community has an intentional focus on reconciliation between people from diverse backgrounds and seeks to inspire unity, trust, and hope in the world. Our service combines simple repetitive songs, readings, and silent reflection. Monthly services are held at The Peoples Church in East Lansing on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6:30 pm in the McCune Chapel.
