“Lord, if you could just get me out of this mess I’m in…”
Doesn’t that sound like prayer sometimes?
Most of us pray when something goes wrong. We pray when we're afraid, when life gets difficult, or
when we need God's help. But what does prayer look like when there is no crisis?
In this week's message, we'll explore a surprising moment in the life of Jesus. After a wildly
successful time of ministry, Jesus gets up before dawn and slips away to pray. Why would He leave
when everything was going so well?
Together we'll discover that prayer is not something we do only when we need God… Prayer is how
we remain close to the God we love. Join us as we learn what it means to abide in prayer and stay
in the conversation with our Heavenly Father.

As the days grow longer and the Wisconsin sunshine finally settles over Oconto Falls, we are so excited to kick off a new season here at Grace. Summer is a wonderful time to get outside, enjoy God's creation, and reconnect with Him.Whether you are enjoying a peaceful morning on the patio or taking a stroll down the Oconto River, we hope you feel that divine connection all around you. Grace is the perfect place to nurture that connection and carry it out into your everyday lives.We would love for you to join us this season! During the summer months, we gather for one combined worship service at 9:30 AM, followed by our fellowship hour with coffee, lemonade, and treats. It is the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new faces, and celebrate the warmth of our church family.As you step into the sunshine this June, remember to pause, breathe, and reflect on the many blessings we've been given. This weekend we continue our ROOTED series as we begin the ABIDE portion of our journey together.
Jesus says in John 15, “Abide in me.” But what does that actually mean in everyday life? This week we’ll explore how humanity was created first for communion with God, not anxious striving, and how Jesus invites us back into the life we were created for from the very beginning.
What does it look like to abide in Christ in ordinary life? How do prayer, Scripture, worship, community, and faithful staying connect us to the life of Jesus?
Join us as we discover that abiding is not another religious task—it is learning to live our actual lives with Jesus.
