Dear Christ Community family,

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that our brother, Mike Lynch, has gone home to be with his Lord.

Jim & Sue Chapman are with Chris at the Hospice House, where Mike passed, after he was taken there yesterday.

Because of that, I'm sure that you will understand that there will be no podcast today.

When we know about his memorial service arrangements we will make sure to share the details.

Please continue to keep Chris in your prayers.

We have a lot of left over food from Friday night's dinner. If you haven't made something for lunch tomorrow, just plan to come eat!

We do need people to volunteer to heat up some of the food.

Also, if anyone has a carpet cleaner that Betsy & Matt could borrow, they want to clean Nathan's office carpets before they leave, since Toffee has spent a good deal of time in there

We apologize for the late reminder, but tomorrow (Friday 6/5/2026) we will be hosting a going away meal for Matt & Betsy Hickok at 6:00 pm. One of the Elders is providing the main dish.

We would love to see as many come out as possible. Feel free to bring a dish to pass of your choice.

Also, we recognize that bringing a dish on Friday and a dish on Sunday may be a hardship, but we would love to have you come to both meals, so if you cannot bring food for both that is completely fine & understandable.

Good morning Church,

Over the next couple of days Betsy Hickok is traveling to New York state and back to pick up our daughter, Liberty and bring her and her belongings back to Florida.

Several other families have mentioned that they will be traveling and gone this weekend as well, so please keep all of the travelers in your prayers. Thanks! - Pastor Matt

We are currently under a tornado watch until 6:00 pm. We DO still plan to host Saturday afternoon Worship at 3:30 pm, but we will be monitoring the weather closely.
Just know that if it turns into a tornado warning, service will be cancelled for Saturday regardless of whether or not this notification gets updated. Thanks

PS we plan to worship together at 10:15 am Sunday as usual, so if you decide to stay home tonight, just know that is an option :)
