Operation Christmas Child – CBC
Most of you are familiar with Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. If you are new to this ministry, here is a brief introduction.
Each year, donors fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other gifts for children ages 2–14. The shoeboxes are collected, processed, and sent to more than 100 countries around the world.
Local churches distribute the shoeboxes, and before receiving their gifts, children hear a Gospel presentation in their own language, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in a way they can understand.
How You Can Participate
Empty shoeboxes will be available at CBC from October through mid-November, while supplies last. If you take a shoebox, please return your filled box to the church no later than Sunday, November 15. Please see Ken or Mariann Valentine for shoeboxes and additional information.
Soccer Balls – $8
Soccer balls are among the most popular gifts for children around the world! CBC has purchased soccer balls printed with “Jesus Loves You” in eight languages. You can purchase a ball with a pump for $8 (at cost) from Ken or Mariann Valentine.
Let’s work together to share the love of Jesus with children around the world!
