OCIA Testimonial
For years, I considered getting confirmed and was waiting for the right church to come along where I felt comfortable and welcomed. While I was baptised and raised Catholic, I was still not confirmed. It is something I thought about for a long time and honestly found to be a bit intimidating as an adult. I left it up to God to lead the way.
I found out through my cousin Lauren, her best friend and my now sponsor, Jessie, had just completed OCIA recently. This conversation felt like God was nudging me, saying it was time.
I was super excited but also super nervous with taking this next step but I’m soooo glad I did! It was such a wonderful experience. Questions and thoughts from students throughout OCIA were met with patience and compassion, which I truly appreciated. There was no judgement whatsoever.
If you are considering taking this class, do it! I’m so happy I did. While I am still learning, I learned so much during this class and you will too. It is an experience I will hold close to my heart forever.
