Until We Meet Again
Dear Friends in Christ,
In this, my final column, after ten blessed years as your Pastor, I simply want to express my love and gratitude for all of you. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support you showed me last Saturday at my farewell reception. During my remarks, I highlighted the many ways the Lord has worked through us in bearing fruit that will last for years to come. I also recognized the amazing staff I have been blessed to lead and collaborate with in serving all of you. I am also most grateful for the many Masses and cards of sympathy you sent to our family after Mom’s sudden passing last year- it was a source of great consolation for our family. On this Father’s Day, I can say that I feel the tremendous gift of spiritual fatherhood thanks to all of you, which in Jesus Christ’s divine plan, is so much more expansive than if I was married and had a family of my own.
