Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Dear Community Members,
Allah (SWT) says:
”مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتۡ سَبۡعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٖ مِّاْئَةُ حَبَّةٖۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُضَٰعِفُ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ”
”The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261).
We are honored to invite you to our Fundraiser Iftar, Friday, March 14th, 2025, as we work together to support Masjid Omar Alfarouq, the house of Allah and the heart of our community. Let us ensure its debts are cleared and its essential services continue for generations to come.
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
”مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ كَمِفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ أَوْ أَصْغَرَ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ”
”Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, even if it is like a bird’s nest or smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
Let us unite in fulfilling this noble obligation to support the masjid, which nurtures our connection to Allah, provides Islamic education, and strengthens our community. Every contribution you make is an act of sadaqah jariyah that will benefit you in this life and the hereafter.
