GLO family and friends, looking for a new volunteer opportunity? Our church supports several local organizations and missions, but you may want to consider becoming a food rescuer for Food Rescue-Akron. Volunteers pick up food donations from local businesses and deliver them to various charitable organizations that have food pantries or deliver food or meals to those in need. Several organizations are already part of our church missions.
"New years resolution has you wanting to volunteer more this year? We rescue throughout Medina and Summit counties and have many opportunities throughout the week to deliver to agencies in Barberton and the surrounding area.

Our volunteers transport excess food from food donors to local receiving agencies who feed the food insecure. Our flexible schedule allows you to claim a rescue that fits your schedule. Rescues take under an hour and are an easy, rewarding activity.
