Thank you to all who attended our recent Guardian Angels Feast Day Celebration! After Mass, everyone went downstairs to the parish hall and shared in an Angel hair pasta dinner with Angel food cake & various toppings for dessert. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate our feast day together. Many thanks to the volunteers who assisted with this annual event!

On Monday night, October 5, parishioner Bob Pfeiffer gave a presentation to our 7th grade PSR class. The 7th graders learned all about the Appalachia Service Project, and what it is like to be part of the annual mission trip. Our annual pet blessing was held this past Saturday in the pavilion and many dogs + a couple of cats were blessed by Fr. Chris. The pet blessing is an annual event held either on or near the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, which is October 4. It was a beautiful afternoon for the annual pet blessing!

The second annual ladies’ event was held earlier this week in our parish hall. Fr. Chris welcomed everyone & offered an opening prayer, followed by our guest speaker Kay Metzler. There were 55 attendees who had a wonderful time learning more about, “Stewardship of Herself”. It was an awesome event! There were opportunities for prayer, fellowship, & socializing during our time together. Thanks to everyone who planned, set-up and attended!

Earlier this week, Chris Wittkopp & Lisa Covington represented Guardian Angels parish at the annual Diocesan Celebration of Catechists. The event was held at the Center for Pastoral Leadership. After the welcome & refreshments, they attended Evening Prayer where Bishop Malesic was the Presider.

Last night was our first PSR session for the 2026-27 year. We celebrated Catechetical Sunday with our Catechists & assistants. After they received their certificates, Fr. Chris prayed a prayer for Catechists & then offered a blessing over them. Fifty students & some parents were in attendance and clapped offering their congratulations!
