This week in our Living on Mission series, we were reminded of the heart of Jesus—the One who leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one lost sheep.

To join Him in that mission, we challenged ourselves to:

• See – Ask God for a new perspective. Who around you needs to experience His love?
• Seek – Ask God for a new purpose. How can you intentionally move toward the one He places on your heart?
• Surrender – Ask God for a new posture. Trust Him with the results and be willing to follow wherever He leads.

Every person has a name, a story, and immeasurable value to God. May we be a church that sees people the way Jesus does and faithfully pursues the one.

Heaven will be filled with people from every nation, tribe, people, and language worshiping Jesus together. Until that day, we are called to live on mission—beginning where we are and extending to the ends of the earth—so that as many people as possible can encounter Christ and join that great multitude. Being a light for Jesus doesn’t always happen on a stage — it happens in everyday moments. This Sunday, we learned from Matthew 5:14–16 that we are called to shine God’s love wherever He places us. A city on a hill can’t be hidden, and neither should the hope, kindness, and grace of Christ in our lives. As we live on mission with God, even small acts of obedience can point people back to Him. “Come with us and we will treat you well, for the Lord has promised good things…” — Numbers 10:29. Missional living often starts with a simple invitation and a willingness to treat people with kindness, hospitality, and love. In Numbers 10:29–32, Moses invites Hobab to journey with God’s people and experience the goodness of God alongside them. May we live the same way — making people feel seen, valued, and welcomed as we walk with them toward Jesus.

Living on mission with God often happens in unexpected places through simple acts of obedience, just like Philip and the eu**ch. God uses ordinary people who are willing to listen, move, and trust His leading to make an eternal impact.

Following Christ entails living on mission—a thread woven throughout Scripture, beginning in Genesis with Abraham, who obeyed God’s call to go by leaving comfort, embracing risk, and trusting without full clarity. In doing so, Abraham discovered he was blessed by God to be a blessing to others—a calling we are still invited to live out today. Jesus proclaims, “I am the true vine”—real life, lasting change, and true purpose are only found when we remain connected to Him. Apart from Christ we strive and come up empty, but abiding in Him produces fruit that brings glory to God and genuine transformation to our lives.
