Liberty Community Church

Liberty Community Church Relevant, reverent and Biblical music & teaching with a friendly community of believers. We have a casual, relaxed atmosphere, so come as you are!

Our mission is to glorify God by developing committed followers of Jesus Christ. We would describe our service as modern but reverent with practical Bible-based expositional teaching. Sermons at Liberty Community Church aim to be Biblical, accurate, and practical and typically are a series of sermons through a whole book of the Bible. Church Meetings:
Sunday 10am: Worship Service- Music & Teaching

God’s Word
Sunday 9am: Sunday School Discipleship Class
1st Sunday of the month 9am: The Lord’s Supper

Tuesday 7:30pm: Young Adult (18-30) Bible Study
Wednesday 6:30pm: Men’s Bible Study, Women’s Bible Study, AWANA, Youth Group for teens. We encourage you to bring your bible to church. ESV Bibles are available in the community room. Please ask a greeter if you need a Bible. During the 10am service, we have Nursery & Children's Church. Kids stay during the time of praise and worship music at the 10 am service and then are dismissed to attend children’s church groups that are geared towards their age levels. We also have a well-staffed nursery for little ones, 0-3 yrs. Want to stay as a family with the little ones? We have a "Family Room" where you can experience the service in a quiet and private environment, while still feeling like part of the service. Reserved parking for families with young children is available right in front. Don't rush out after the service! Stick around and enjoy some fresh coffee and desserts while you meet some new friends! We look forward to seeing you!

That is the one word that stuck with Callie Suraci as she spent three weeks in La Romana this summer with the DR Mission Team

by Callie Suraci, Wallingford, CT, Weeks 1, 2 & 3The Dominican Republic Mission Team trips have been something that I’ve held near and dear to my heart for the past nine years. There’s no way to truly describe what a trip like this does to your heart and soul, but if I could describe it in one w...

Why did God require circumcision?

It's one of the most misunderstood commands in the Bible. Was it simply an ancient ritual, or was God pointing His people to something far greater?

This Sunday at 10:00 AM, we'll open Genesis 17:1-14 and discover how God's covenant with Abraham reveals His faithfulness, the difference between grace and works, and why the outward sign always pointed to an inward reality of faith.

Have you ever wondered why God's promises sometimes seem to take so long?

In Genesis 15, Abram had been waiting ten years for God to fulfill His promise. Questions lingered. Doubts crept in. Yet God didn't abandon His promise. He strengthened it with a covenant that rested not on Abram's faithfulness, but on His own.

This Sunday we'll see how God's covenant with Abraham points us to the greatest promise of all: salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. If you've ever struggled to trust God's timing or wondered whether His promises are really for you, this passage offers lasting hope.

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM as we continue our series through the Patriarchs and discover why our confidence rests not in what we do for God, but in what God has done for us.

We'd love to worship with you!

Wasn't it a great service yesterday? We started a new series called The Patriarchs and what a way to start! We dug into Genesis 12 looking at the Call of Abraham. What stands out about his life is that he wasn't some spiritual superstar when God called him. He was an idol-worshipper living in a pagan land, with no map, no plan, and no idea where God was even leading him. And yet God called him anyway and made him promises so big they still echo all the way to us today, through Jesus Christ.

If you missed it, or if you were there and just want to sit with it a little longer, we'd love for you to give it a listen (or a re-listen) this week either on YouTube or anywhere you get your podcasts.

Every great story has a beginning and this one changes everything. Starting Sunday, we're launching a new sermon series called The Patriarchs, going all the way back to the start of the story that gave us the Jewish people, the nation of Israel, the Law, the prophets, and ultimately, Jesus Christ himself. If you've ever wondered how it all fits together; how a handful of ancient stories about tents, deserts, and unlikely families connects to the faith we hold today, this is the series for you. Because to tell the story of the Patriarchs is to tell the story of how God set his plan of salvation into motion, one imperfect, ordinary person at a time. Whether you've been in church your whole life or are new to it, we'd love for you to journey with us back to the beginning. You might just find your own story is more connected to it than you think.

This week we are doing something unique: a pulpit swap! Pastor Rob is preaching at Beacon Church in Guilford and their pastor, Pastor Dave, is going to be preaching at Liberty!

Join us as we look at Ephesians 2:10 where we'll see that the church we are meant to be, the church scripture calls us to, joins God in His work both inside and outside the doors of the church.

See you at 10a!

The Pharisee and the Tax Collector
Luke 18:9-14

It's easy to compare ourselves to others. Jesus exposes the danger of self-righteousness and points us toward the life-changing power of humble faith.
