On behalf of the General Assembly, a special commemoration was dedicated to Dr. Rev. Carl N. Sherrill and Leading Lady Jacquelyn Sherrill for their outstanding leadership, faithful service, and unwavering commitment to both the church and the community.

Their dedication continues to inspire and uplift so many lives, and we are grateful for the impact they have made throughout the years. Thank you, Delegate Hayes, for helping us recognize and celebrate this incredible milestone and these remarkable leaders!

When God is all you have, you begin to realize He is all you ever truly needed. Life may not always go the way you planned—people may leave, opportunities may fade, and situations may feel uncertain—but God remains constant through it all. His presence is not dependent on your circumstances; it is steady, faithful, and unchanging.

In seasons of loss, He becomes your comfort. In moments of weakness, He is your strength. When the world feels overwhelming, He is your peace. Sometimes God allows us to be stripped of distractions so we can clearly see that our true security was never in things, but in Him alone. What feels like emptiness may actually be God making room for something deeper—stronger faith, greater trust, and a closer relationship with Him.

Having God doesn’t mean life will be easy, but it does mean you will never walk alone. He provides what your heart truly needs—love that never fails, grace that never runs out, and hope that carries you forward even in the darkest moments. So if you find yourself with nothing but God, take heart—because in Him, you already have everything.
