Who are we:

Mekane Hiwot Abune Gebre Menfes Kidus Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is a non-profit organization tax exempt under IRC 501(c) (3) rules of IRS. MHAGMK EOTC belongs to the ancient, Holy and Apostolic Oriental Orthodox Churches founded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our church serves the spiritual needs of our fellow believers in the Hampton Roads area and those around the world through our page regardless of ethnic, culture or spiritual background. Our Mission:

Our church strives to fulfill the spiritual needs of its members and other nationalities by providing church and related services in a manner consistent with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church’s faith, values and tradition. In addition, through various services, we aim to bring young adults closer to the Church and ensure spiritual growth for devout Christians while providing an inclusive environment. Our Charity Services:

-Once a year, we provide a free health screening service for our members and anyone interested by coordinating with healthcare professionals from our church.
-Help the less fortunate citizens by organizing a food drive every year during thanksgiving.
-Meet elderly people on a regular basis, visit the sick at their house and hospitals and support those who are in a livelihood hardship.
-Provide an interpretation services for immigrant with a language barrier.
-Provide constant counseling for the youth, young adults and anyone in need of it in order to help them overcome whatever crisis they're going through. SERVICE HOURS:

Monday - Friday: Counseling Service
Friday: 7PM - 9:00PM - Prayer and Bible Study
Sunday: 4AM - 11AM - Mass Prayer, Divine Liturgy and Bible Study
Sunday: 11AM - 12PM - Sunday School Programs for children, youth and young adults
