Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries NCM is a faith-based, non-profit, ecumenical ministry dedicated to providing emergency assistance to families in Norcross and surrounding areas of Gwinnett

For more than 30 years, NCM has served the local community by providing food, clothing and limited financial assistance to families in crisis. NCM also provides transformational services to its clients through homelessness prevention case management, job ministry services, and financial literacy and life skills workshops.

What seems like a simple part of everyday life, a shower, was once out of reach for one of our neighbors.

Due to mobility challenges and being confined to a wheelchair, Jorge was unable to safely access or use a standard bathroom in his home. Something most of us take for granted had become a daily barrier to comfort, dignity, and independence.

Through the support of our incredible community partners, a wheelchair-accessible shower renovation was completed to meet his needs. This home accessibility modification project was about more than construction, it was about restoring independence, safety, and dignity in the place he calls home.

Sometimes the smallest gestures mean the most. 💐

A client recently sent us flowers with this note:

“I can’t thank you enough for helping me during a very hard time in my life. You all are incredibly kind and caring.”

Moments like this remind us why compassion matters. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us walk alongside families during difficult seasons.
