Proverbs 31:10,28-31 KJV
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. [28] Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. [29] Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. [30] Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. [31] Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

TLHCC Family, Friends, New Friends and Guests,
Please join us tomorrow March 1 2026 @ 10:00 am for our Black History Month Worship Service. We will worship the Lord, honor/explore our rich heritage, and our youth will enact a powerful narrative reading.
Our Theme: "Faith that Carried Us Through:By Faith We Understand".
Hope to see you.
We will also engage in a dynamic panel discussion exploring the lives and legacy of two giant heroes in our community who God called to their heavenly reward: Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr, longtime President of RainbowPUSH Coalition, close advisory to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., two-time candidate for Presidentof the UnitedStates and powerful civil rights leaders and more and Dr.Norman C. Francis, longtime President of Xavier University and leading civil rights activist.

We look forward to seeing you, worshipping God with you and spending time with you. We'll see you tomorrow.

Our Black History is more than an observance, It is a Lifestyle!

Today, we mourn the passing of Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., a longtime civil rights leader, Baptist preacher, two-time presidential candidate and founder/leader of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition. He was a champion for people in poverty, the disadvantaged and those whose voices are ignored by those in power. He as a devoted husband, father and mentor to many. Though we mourn, we praise God for his life, impact and legacy and ask for your prayers for his wife Lady Jacqueline and family in this season of mourning and beyond. Let us "Keep Hope Alive" as he charged us to do.
On a personal note, growing up in Chicago, Reverend Jackson had a profound impact on me, my family, friends and schoolmates at Shoop Elementary and Morgan Park High School. His powerful sermons and speeches along with His servant-leadership next to Dr. King fighting for our civil rights. I witnessed and participated in the his work at Operation Breadbasket and later the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. He helped me to understand who God made me to be. Through him, I learned that "I Am Somebody!"
We love and honor you Sir!
Rest well Reverend Jackson, you labored well until your last breath. Your labor is not in vain.
