What does it mean to stay spiritually awake in a world that seems to be sleeping... and how should we live when we know that Jesus is coming again?

Join Us for Worship | Saturday, September 5, 2026 | 11:00 AM CT

This Sabbath, Frank Carnahan will share a message titled “As the World Sleeps,” based on 1 Thessalonians 5:2. Scripture reminds us that the day of the Lord will come “as a thief in the night,” calling Christians not to live unaware, but to remain spiritually awake and watchful.

Together, we’ll explore three important responses to the times in which we are living: Awareness, Preparedness, and Urgency. We’ll consider what it means to recognize what is happening around us, to make sure our own hearts and lives are ready for Christ’s return, and to understand the urgency of helping others know Jesus while there is still opportunity.

Most importantly, we’ll be reminded that the promise of Christ’s return is not intended to fill His people with fear, but to awaken us to faithful living. While the world sleeps, God calls His people to be awake, prepared, and actively sharing the hope of Jesus with others.

What does authentic Christian ministry really look like... and how can our lives show that Christ is truly working through us?

Join us for Sabbath School as Frank Carnahan leads Lesson 10: Authentic Christian Ministry. This week’s study takes us into 2 Corinthians 3–7, where Paul explains what genuine ministry for Christ looks like and what gives evidence that God is working through His people.

Through Scripture, we’ll see that Paul did not measure successful ministry simply by position, recognition, or outward accomplishments. The strongest evidence of his ministry was found in changed lives—people who had encountered Christ, accepted the truth, and were being transformed by His grace.

We’ll also discover that authentic Christian ministry points people beyond ourselves to Jesus. As Christ changes hearts and renews lives, His character becomes visible in His people. These transformed lives become living evidence of the power of the gospel and the work God has called His church to do.

Most importantly, we’ll be reminded that ministry is not simply about what we say or what we do—it is about Christ working through us to reach and transform others. When Jesus is formed within the heart, His presence can be seen in the way we live, love, serve, and share the gospel with those around us.

What does it really mean to give Jesus your whole heart... and what might we still be holding onto that keeps us from fully surrendering to Him?

Join Us for Worship | Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 11:00 AM CT

This Sabbath, Pastor Jerry DuVall concludes the Knowing God series with a message titled “When Jesus Has Your Whole Heart.” Through Scripture, we’ll discover that truly knowing God leads us beyond simply believing in Him—it leads us to trust Him enough to surrender our lives completely into His hands.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to take up our cross daily, remain connected to Christ, and allow Jesus to become Lord of every part of our lives. We’ll be challenged to consider what we may still be holding onto—our plans, fears, relationships, habits, hurts, dreams, or our need for control.

Most importantly, we’ll discover that surrender is not about God taking our lives away from us. It is about placing our lives into the hands of the One who gave His life to save us. To truly know Him is to trust Him, surrender to Him, and walk with Him every day.

What motivates us to keep serving when ministry becomes difficult... and how can the love of Christ sustain us when we grow tired or discouraged?

Join us for Sabbath School as Vera Hart leads Lesson 9: Love-Driven Ministry. This week’s study looks at the apostle Paul and the remarkable love that motivated his ministry despite suffering, opposition, hardship, and his deep concern for the churches.

Through Scripture, we’ll discover that Paul’s ministry was not driven simply by duty or obligation—it was the love of Christ that compelled him. Even when the Corinthian church brought challenges and heartache, Paul continued to care for them, reflecting the same faithful and enduring love that Jesus has for us.

Most importantly, we’ll see that true Christian ministry begins with Christ’s love working within us. When we understand how deeply Jesus loves us, His love changes the way we see others and becomes the motivation for serving, caring, encouraging, and sharing the gospel—even when ministry is difficult.

Our Better Together Women’s Potluck & Friendship Gathering was a special time to share a meal, enjoy an activity, and most importantly, slow down and get to know one another better. We laughed, talked, learned new things about each other, and were reminded that friendships grow when we simply take the time to be together.

A sincere thank you to our Women’s Ministry Team and especially to every woman who brought a dish and set aside time to spend with us. Your presence is what made this gathering so special.

We are grateful for every woman in our church family and look forward to many more opportunities to grow in friendship, encourage one another, and do life Better Together.

“Two are better than one… for if they fall, one will lift up his companion.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
