Weekday Mass is held Monday & Tuesday at 7:30am at St Augustin's Church

St Mary’s Parish was founded April 8, 1828 and is the oldest Parish in the
Diocese of Providence Work on the present structure began on August 7, 1848. The church was dedicated on July 25, 1852 and consecrated on August 15, 1884. Designed by the renowned architect Patrick Keely, this Gothic edifice is one of the finest examples of this style in New England. The late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier were married here on September 12, 1953. St Mary’s was designated a National Historic Shrine by the United States Department of the Interior on November 24, 1968
